About Our Company
At Agape Learning Corporation, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between parents, schools, and children. We aim to nurture and take care of the youth, preparing them for a brighter future ahead. Our team takes pride in having more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
Our mission is to be the community’s leading provider for early childhood education and an alternative for school-age children (pre-kindergarten to 12th grade) who have obtained an out-of-school suspension. The Agape Learning Corporation will become an advocate and act as a liaison between the child, family, and school to obtain curricula missed due to absence, preventing the student from falling behind.
We will provide a curriculum that meets and exceeds the State of Missouri’s performance standards using our diverse backgrounds and education, along with our willingness to serve with unconditional love.
Agape Learning Corporation will provide a learning environment that will nurture the whole person, incorporating restorative justice and trauma-sensitive practices while advocating to rebuild and restore the child, family, community, and beyond.
Agape Learning Corporation and Agape Child Development Corporation were founded by Michelle Rice with the purpose of building relationships in love. Our company was established to nurture and educate without condition.
Michelle has an extensive background in education. She began her educational journey more than 24 years ago as a teaching assistant for a local head start program. Eventually, she obtained a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree.
Michelle also became a lead teacher and a paraprofessional for a school district, working with school-age children who have autism and behavioral problems. Most recently, she studied at Park University and received a master’s degree in Adult Education and became a Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor II through the Missouri Credentialing Board.
Michelle is currently studying restorative justices and trauma-sensitive practices to help develop stronger children, families, and communities. She also aims to reduce out-of-school suspensions and crime rates while repairing and restoring relationships.
